Janis Cannon is vice president, global brand management, Upscale Brands for IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group).

As vice president, Janis is responsible for providing strategic direction leadership and innovation to drive global distribution, enhanced guest experience and overall rooms and revenue growth for IHG’s two upscale brands: Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts and Hotel Indigo.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Janis has an extensive background in brand management, sales and marketing and hotel operations. Janis has received significant recognition in the hospitality industry, including being named by Travel Agent as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Travel.
