Clive Hillier

Chief Executive Officer
Vision Hospitality Asset Management

In a career spanning over 22 years, Clive Hillier has been at the forefront of the hospitality sector, managing major international investment and development projects and providing valuable advice to prospective investors and owners. Clive is regarded as an authority on hospitality asset management and is a frequent speaker at international conferences.

In 2001 Clive founded Vision, which operates two tranches; Vision Asset Management, a consultancy offering specialist and independent advice to investors within the hospitality sector, and Vision Hotel Operations providing operational management solutions to a variety of owners and hotels.  After over 13 years, Vision leads the market in supporting individuals and businesses in their investment, operation and development decisions.

Prior to Vision, Clive held positions as Vice-President of Corporate Development at Hilton and Director of Hotel Development at Marylebone Warwick Balfour. He was responsible for the acquisition and development of properties globally, managing the financing, construction and operational strategies of projects from inception to completion.

Working across hospitality investment projects with organisations such as the World Bank, The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and other major commercial banks, Clive developed a unique insight into the financing of the sector and combines this with his operational knowledge to provide valuable advice to investors and asset owners.

As Chairman of Vision, Clive has built a strong team of experienced professionals working alongside clients to drive performance, protect cash flow, increase returns and make well-informed commercial decisions in a complex and specialist sector. The team has been instrumental in providing investment, development and operational advice to a range of individuals and organisations entering the sector or managing their portfolios.

This has included significant portfolios such as De Vere, Malmaison/Hotel du Vin and Marriott UK, as well as iconic London development or repositioning projects, such as Grosvenor House, The Waldorf and The Cumberland.
