With over 30 years of hotel experience, Claus-Dieter Jandel knows the hospitality business inside out. After his  graduation at the Hotel Management College in Bad Reichenhall in 1975 he started his hotel career at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt. This was followed by positions overseas such as at the La Maison d’Angéle/Paris and the Hilton Park Lane/London. He conducted his first hotel opening as General Manager at the age of 28 in 1985. In 1988 Jandel came back to Steigenberger and since then has played a leading role at the leading German hotel group. First of all as General Manager of the Steigenberger Hotel & Resort Bad Griesbach. Three years later he was announced as Regional Director, followed by Area Vice President, based at the company’s Headquarter in Frankfurt/Main, Germany, overseeing the operation of more than 30 hotels. Since 1998 he has been as well in the position of an authorized representative, and later as Executive Vice President. In 2004 he signed as Chief Human Resources Officer, responsible for the more than 5,500 employees  of the company. Since 2009 he is Steigenberger’s Chief Development Officer  and responsible with his team for the growth strategy of the company. His main goal: to evaluate and establish new Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts and InterCityHotels in all major cities and popular holiday destinations in Europe and beyond.
