Patrick Sanville

Patrick Sanville has a wealth of experience in the hotel real estate industry and is a recognised expert in the European market.  He began his career in investment banking with a Swiss financial institution and later joined Bourdais, a French leading real estate consulting firm.  In his first two roles, Patrick completed large asset, portfolio and corporate merger and acquisition transactions.

In 1980, Patrick joined Accor as Director of International Development.  He led the group’s expansion internationally, developing and completing major projects in many European cities.  Patrick was then promoted to President of Accor’s Ibis brand in North America. In this responsibility, he developed the chain in major US gateway cities.

In 1992, Patrick founded SP & Partners, a successful hotel real estate advisory group, associated in 2000 with CB Richard Ellis.  Over the years, he has worked on both the sell and buy sides of some of the largest single hotel asset and portfolio transactions in the EMEA region.

BNP Paribas Real Estate acquired SP & Partners to create a hotel division in 2007. Since then, Patrick has successfully led the development of a European Hotel Real Estate Advisory Group within BNP Paribas.

Within the different entities which he managed, Patrick has assisted major players of the hotel industry in disposing of their assets. He has provided consulting and valuation services of hotel portfolios and single assets to a wide range of institutions: banks, investment funds, hotel chains, and private equity investors.
Patrick has a Masters’ Degree in Economics from Paris University and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.

He is a frequent guest speaker at the major Hotel Investment Conferences and Events in Europe and United States.
