Philip Bacon joined forces with HVS in 2005 when he established the Shared Ownership Services division for EMEA & Asia in the London office of HVS. Now based in Madrid, where HVS has had a presence since 2003, Philip and his team, in addition to consulting and valuation services to the mainstream hotel sector, specialize in mixed use hospitality developments models including business models such as Golf, Marina, Spa & Wellness, Sports, Retail, Offices, Branded Residences, Vacation Ownership, Fractional Ownership Residence Clubs and Condo Hotels.

Philip is a Chartered Accountant and has over 30 years’ experience in professional business advisory services and general management having worked with a wide range of independently-managed and publicly-listed international companies. 
Following ten years with Price Waterhouse in London and Barcelona, Philip has had comprehensive experience over the past eighteen years of all aspects of hotel and mixed use development and operation. In addition to having worked as Finance Director for hospitality real estate development companies in Spain, Philip has worked as a board advisor of developing and operating hospitality products built around high quality resort-based accommodation.
He has conducted consulting, valuation and strategic advisory assignments for hotel and mixed use development owners, developers, lenders and operators in the UK, Continental Europe, India, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East involving many of the world’s leading branded hotel operators.
