Simon M Johnson works for CB Richard Ellis as a director in both CBRE Hotels and in the Leisure and Alternative investment divisions. He is responsible for driving a wider awareness of the experience, capabilities and scale of these specialist practices within the world’s largest real estate advisory firm with a client base of hotels, pubs, restaurants and other hospitality companies.

Prior to joining CBRE Simon was at UBS for nine years in the Equities, Investment Banking and Private Banking business, at all times focusing on relationships with individuals, directors, owners and shareholders of Hospitality business. He began his banking career at Kleinwort Benson and BZW (which was taken over by Credit Suisse).

Outside of work to get away from it all, he enjoys spending time in pubs and restaurants and collects books on the history of hotels and other hospitality companies. He lives in London and Northamptonshire with his wife, two children and a Sporting Lucas Terrier. He is a founder member of the IHSF.
