IFA Hotel Investments
An accomplished CEO with a substantial record of delivering commercial results, Joe Sita brings more than 30 years of leadership, hotel management and development experience to his position as CEO of IFA Hotel Investments. In this role, Sita drives the strategic direction of IFA Hotels & Resorts’ (IFA HR) operational asset portfolio including its hotels, hotel condos, commercial, retail and food and beverage ventures. Sita also oversees the management of the company’s private residence clubs, vacation clubs and lifestyle ownership products.
Sita’s efforts have propelled the company’s projects forward; most notably its Fairmont The Palm hotel for which Sita secured US$115 million in financing. An additional concentration for Sita is IFA HR’s investment in YOTEL. The company’s 669-room YOTEL in Times Square West was the first city-center location for the brand and the largest hotel opening in New York in 2011. Also operational in Gatwick, Heathrow and Schiphol Airports, YOTEL is considered the ‘iPod’ of the hotel industry. YOTEL’s latest agreement is to build a city-centre hotel on Singapore’s famous Orchard Road.
Previously, Sita was the founding CEO of Nakheel Hotels (formerly Istithmar Hotels FZE) overseeing the accumulation of a global hotel portfolio valued at more than US$4 billion, including The Atlantis Palm Jumeirah, W Hotels in New York and Washington and The Mandarin Oriental New York, as well as easyHotels and golf courses including Turnberry and Pearl Valley.
