Allan joined Colliers International in 2008 following a successful career managing some of the UK’s leading hotels within the Ramada Jarvis Group portfolio.
His career in the hospitality sector, prior to joining Colliers, spanned 22 years. This provided Allan with extensive knowledge of the operational micro- management of hospitality assets, allowing him to offer expert advice to our clients on how best to maximise revenues, reduce costs and improve cash-flows.
During his time with Ramada Jarvis Allan managed a variety of hotels across the UK including Ramada Hemel Hempstead, Ramada Glasgow City and Ramada Jarvis Aberdeen. In his role as General Manager of these and other hotels within the group, Allan was able to add considerable value to the assets through the micro- management of the business and the re-focusing of the management team. His skills in delivering opportunities and building relationships delivered some of the most profitable properties in the group.
In addition, Allan was also responsible for the implementation, from to design to completion, of the company’s PMS system as well as the design and functionality of a new corporate website for the group. Heading up Colliers’s implant team, in the owner’s management structure, Allan led the design, scoping, cost control and effect implementation of a £100m capex spend on the UK Marriott portfolio. Allan’s experience and expertise in delivering profit has provided our clients with the support they require to improve their assets’ performance and continue growth, whilst also securing their cash flow. Through the advice offered by Allan and his team Colliers is able to provide a complete range of hospitality micro-management services, supporting our clients in their goals, increasing their asset value and improving their returns.
