Dr Jan Fleck
Senior Innovation Strategist, Future Candy
Jan has an academic background. He worked at the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg, where he taught courses in Sociology and Technology Assessment. Meanwhile, he studied the characteristics of crisis communication on the web and wrote his doctoral dissertation on the role of rumors in the downfall of Lehman Brothers. That led him to work in a research project at the University of Hamburg on the topic of “Genesis and Persistence of Trust in Banks” (supported by Deutsche Bundesbank). To put theory into practice he joined Future Candy, where he continues to connect technological prospects and future perspectives – and now does “Real-World-Technology-Assessment”. Jan is keen to explore the possibilities of new technologies and equally enthusiastic about adopting them for company routines and business models. He presented his research on many conferences and is an experienced keynote-speaker in the field of future technologies.
