Director of Business Development , Deutsche Hospitality
Frida Hansen is the Director of Business Development for based i Deutsche Hospitality n Frankfurt. In her current role she is responsible for identifying and driving international hotel development opportunities in accordance with the group’s expansion strategy across Central Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Her main focus lies on building strategic partnerships to position the group in new markets and to expand and strengthen relationships with owners through value creation, financial expertise and collection of market intelligence.
Norwegian of origin, Frida completed her BSc in Hospitality and Administration Management at The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management in Dubai in 2007. During her studies she worked in Barcelona, Dubai and Oslo and spent a year at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne. After completing her studies, she began her career with Wyndham Worldwide where she was involved in expansion projects across the Middle East and Africa following later Germany and Scandinavia.
Prior joining Steigenberger Hotel Group, Frida earned a MBA from Berlin School of Economics and Law. Fascinated with globalization, she wrote her thesis on “Internationalization of Norwegian corporations in Brazil” with Innovation Norway in 2013. Since joining Steigenberger in January 2014, Frida has been an integral player of the development team and proactively works on the international expansion strategy of the group. She is also spearheading the development of a companywide CSR program through execution of ISO14001 certification of the Steigenberger Hotel Group hotels.
In her spare time Frida enjoys an active lifestyle and combines running, yoga and tennis with a personal goal of holidaying in at least one new destination every year.
