Jaime Buxó has 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry having worked in the EMEA and the AMERICAS regions. From 2015, he is the Chief Development Officer at the Barceló Hotel Group , the third largest hotel company in Spain which offers 4 and 5 star hotels in 20 countries.
Jaime has gathered his extensive know-how from several roles in the Hospitality Industry. From 2002 to 2004 he was the Managing Director at AREAS Hotels Division, a company providing professional and high-quality service to travellers in airports, railway stations, etc. In 2004 and until 2012 he was appointed Sales and Marketing Senior Vice President at Barceló Hotels & Resorts where he developed the areas of sales , brand, distribution and marketing; during those years the Company became a leader in direct distribution ( barcelo.com) , developed a new Brand architecture, introduced a new marketing strategy and developed a global sales team with global sales tools. In 2012 Jaime moved to Occidental Hotels & Resorts as the Chief Officer Manager and was responsible for the strategic plan 2012-2016 and the company’s development to new markets before returning to the Barceló Hotel Group in 2015.
As a member of the Executive Committee at the Barceló Hotel Group and Barceló Crestline USA , he has participated in the company’s development in the USA and Europe, specially in the UK and North Africa.
