Joe joined CBRE in 2014 and is responsible for the Hotels’ research function pan-EMEA –a role which involves the sourcing, analysis and application of key knowledge capital.
Joe’s roots are firmly in the EMEA Hotels’ team; however, he has strong and far-reaching relationships throughout CBRE’s wider network and can therefore effectively lever the firms global platform when searching for suitable data, expertise and insight.
The CBRE Hotels’ Research team have been responsible for a number of acclaimed, thought-leading reports; addressing challenging issues and uncovering opportunity through unrivalled investment market awareness and an intimate understanding of hotel market dynamics. Joe has contributed to many, if not all of these reports in recent years and built a strong reputation amongst the hotel investment community for innovative analytical techniques. Joe frequently presents at industry conferences, contributes at round table discussions and takes part in industry panels.
Joe’s work in research has been recognised as playing a pivotal role in the hotel investment journey; understanding a client’s strategy and core aims and then establishing the key areas of focus based on bespoke qualitative and quantitative analysis of markets and product type. As a result, strategic consulting mandates have become commonplace in the CBRE Hotels’ Research team and previous clients include institutional investors, hedge funds and financiers.
Joe graduated from the University of Surrey with a first-class honours in International Hospitality and Tourism Management and is now studying for a Master’s degree in Real Estate Investment and Finance at the University of Reading on a part-time basis.
