Jonathan Doughty

Head of EMEA Foodservice Consulting, JLL

Current Responsibilities:
Jonathan leads the Foodservice Consulting division of JLL. Jonathan’s main responsibilities are to provide overall strategic direction for the business unit and new business development.
Experience:
Jonathan founded the division, formerly know as ‘Coverpoint’, in 1993 and the company grew to become, prior to its acquisition by JLL in November 2014, a leading foodservice consultancy business in Europe.
The business provides professional advisory service for clients across a wide spectrum, ranging from Shopping Centre developers and Landlords to Hotels and Business & Industry clients who have realised the importance of high quality foodservice provision. In Spain, Jonathan has worked, alongside his colleagues, on a number of Unibail – Rodamco owned Shopping Centres, developing their foodservice strategy. These include Les Maquinista, Splau!, Les Glories and Bonaire. In the hotel world, Jonathan has worked in a multitude of projects, including Marina Bay Sands and the Dubai World Trade Centre, with Hotel Operators, Asset Managers, Financial Institutions and Foodservice Operators advising on Hotel Foodservices, Site Evaluation, Business Strategy and Concept Development.
Education and Affiliations:
Jonathan holds a BSc degree in Hotel & Catering Management. He is also a member of the Institute of Hospitality, Revo and the Institute of Directors. Jonathan is a regular key note speaker at industry conferences and writes frequently for industry publications about commercial foodservice.
