Mark is a partner in Dentons’ world-renowned Hotels & Leisure practice. He has a broad based hospitality practice representing hotel owners, developers, third-party operators, hospitality brands, and lenders in connection with the development and operation of hotel and leisure facilities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. His practice focuses on the negotiation of management and licensing arrangements for a broad range of hotel and leisure facilities, including hotels, spas, golf courses, resorts, restaurants, and other recreational facilities and amenities.
He also counsels developers, owners, and hotel brands with respect to the documentation and development of hotels with residential and other mixed-use components. Mark developed the mixed use program for a large, international hotel brand and, working with local counsel, has acted as its primary counsel with respect to mixed-use projects all over the world.
Mark has significant experience with respect to the due diligence, acquisition, disposition and development of hospitality properties and portfolios, particularly in the luxury and upscale segments. Mark also focuses on the financing of hospitality properties, with a particular emphasis on the unique needs of hotel and resort properties as to SNDAs and cash management arrangements.
