Devoted and passionate about the hotel industry, Silvija joined Horwath HTL in 2006, acquiring a wide-ranging experience in hotel planning and development. Her key areas of expertise include hotel and resort investment advisory, best-use concept development, hotel feasibility and management contract negotiations. Silvija is particularly focused on emerging markets within Europe, Middle East and Africa, where she has been able to manage various projects in challenging environments, delivering full professional competence to her clients. She has advised and represented a significant number of renowned companies within the industry including Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, Accor Hotel Group, Kaman Holding A.S., Delta Holding, Corinthia Hotels & Resorts, Belaga Hotel Management Company, MD International, MK Group and others.
In 2009, Silvija co-founded the Horwath HTL office in Belgrade, when she took over the position of start-up managing director, with the task to “unlock” the potential in the region for tourism and hospitality business growth. Currently, Silvija is joining the Horwath HTL team in Dubai, to extend her practice and experience of hospitality development to Middle East and East Africa.
Silvija graduated at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade with a major in Marketing and earned a Master of Science degree in Economics of Tourism at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. In 2011, she was awarded a scholarship by Cornell University Hotel Administration School, NY, USA, becoming a member of the Cornell Hotel Society.
