Ms. Yu works in the European office for KSL Capital Partners, based in London. KSL is a leading private equity firm with approximately $7 billion of equity capital commitments raised since 2005 and a 20-year track record of making investments exclusively in travel and leisure businesses. Through its investment vehicles, KSL has owned and operated some of the largest and most renowned hotel companies, resort properties and leisure companies including the JW Marriott Essex House in New York, Malmaison & Hotel du Vin, which is a collection of 28 boutique hotels across the UK, and until recently ClubCorp, Inc. which is the largest owner of golf, country, and business and sports clubs in the world with over 160 destinations.
KSL’s current resort portfolio includes wellness-focused Miraval Resort in Tucson, Arizona and the five-star St. Regis Monarch Beach resort in Dana Point, California. Our portfolio also includes Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows, two of the largest mountain resorts in North America, The Belfry, which is a UK golf resort that hosted the Ryder Cup four times, as well as Cameron House, which is a spa and golf resort on Loch Lomond in Scotland. In addition, we acquired Village Urban Resorts in 2014, a collection of 28 hotels throughout the UK, which cater to locals and travelers alike through its unique combination of a modern hotel, a pub-style restaurant, a Starbucks and comprehensive health club facilities. Through Miraval, we acquired ESPA in 2014, a leading global provider of luxury spa and wellness products and services.
Ms. Yu joined KSL Capital in August 2011 after working as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in their Real Estate group. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania where she holds a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate from the Wharton School and a B.A. in International Studies from the College of Arts and Sciences.
